Police Arrests 2 Suspects in Deadly Crash on Road 224 Thursday
NORTH FORK, Ca (July 25, 2020) – Two people have been arrested in relation to a fatal hit-and-run collision Thursday on Road 224, the ABC30 News reported.
Our sources indicated 31-year-old Travis Balthazar, of O’Neals, died as a result of a crash on Road 224 near Grandma’s Place. The accident took place at approximately 3:10 a.m.
Travis Balthazar Killed in Madera County Hit-and-Run Accident
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found Balthazar lying unconscious on the roadway. Authorities sadly confirmed Balthazar died as a result of the accident.
The motorists involved in the collision fled the scene before police arrived.
Investigators immediately launched an operation to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspects. Later that same morning, the suspect vehicle, a white 1989 Acura sedan, was found in Kerckhoff reservoir.
In relation to the deadly crash, Madera County detectives arrested 35-year-old Danielle Cook, and 49-year-old Christopher Robesky.
Officers booked both Cook and Robesky into the Madera County Department of Corrections on Friday for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and murder.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
