Pedestrian Killed In Sacramento In Ambulance Collision
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2021) — Danielle Hanna, 30, of Sacramento, died late Friday when a vehicle and an ambulance struck her in a pedestrian accident at Fulton Avenue.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at 11:55 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29th at Maison Way, according to CBS 13 Sacramento.
Police reported the woman was crossing the roadway when a vehicle. She reportedly survived the initial crash and screamed for help, but an ambulance transporting a medical patient struck her again. The woman’s boyfriend apparently witnessed the collision.
Sacramento Metro Fire Department crews responded and paramedics attempted to save her life, but she died due to her injuries. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the woman as Danielle Hanna on their website.
Meanwhile, the patient being transported inside the ambulance was taken by another ambulance to the hospital with no reported injuries.
Liability for the collision is under investigation by both the Metro Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.
