1 Killed, 5 Injured in Fresno County Crash on Highway 41 Friday
FRESNO COUNTY (August 2, 2019) – One was killed and several others including Danielle Hutch were injured after a series of traffic collisions along Highway 41 Friday night near Caruthers.
California Highway Patrol said the incident began when a Kia Sportage SUV attempted to pass another vehicle legally on the two-lane highway at around 8:50 p.m.
The car then collided head-on with an SUV which was heading north on Highway 41 near Harlan Avenue at the time.
According to an article written by ABC 30 News, a woman who witness the crash pulled over across the road, exited her vehicle to help the people involved in the initial wreck.

In the process, she was struck by a Mitsubishi Eclipse which ultimately slammed head-on into an 18-wheeler truck traveling in the northbound lanes of the highway.
Paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that one person died as a result of the incident. The family of four riding the SUV, Hutch, her partner and three children, and one other person, were injured upon impact.
All five patients were transported to the hospital to be treated for major to moderate injuries. The ages of the juveniles ranged from 6 to 15.
Meanwhile, the names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
