Daniono Caruth, 34, ID’d as Suspect in Fresno Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash
FRESNO, CA (February 8, 2022) – Officers detained Daniono Caruth after a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Fresno.
Police identified the 34-year-old man as the suspect in the fatal collision which took place near Ashland and Maroa avenues on Monday.
The incident began when Daniono Caruth was driving on Ashlan Avenue between Maroa and College avenues in Fresno. Police said for an unknown reason, he struck a female pedestrian.
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived and found the 28-year-old Fresno woman left lying on the ground. She sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.

The victim, Taylor Logan, died at the scene. The Fresno Bee and Your Central Valley wrote that the accident occurred on February 7 at around 4:15 a.m.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. They soon located and arrested Daniono Caruth on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and manslaughter charges.
Officers booked him into jail on another traffic-related violation and in lieu of a $7,500 bail. The cause of the Fresno hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
