Danny Correa, 41, ID’d as Suspect in Tulare Fatal DUI Crash at Bardsley and Spruce
TULARE, CA (January 2, 2022) – Authorities detained Danny Correa after a fatal DUI crash at Bardsley Street and Spruce Avenue in Tulare.
Police determined that 41-year-old Visalia man was under the influence of alcohol when the collision took place on Sunday evening.
The incident began when Danny Correa was driving in the area of Bardsley Street and Spruce Avenue in Tulare. At the same time, a male pedestrian was crossing the intersection.
Police said in the process, Danny Correa struck the victim. The FOX 26 News and Your Central Valley wrote that the accident happened at around 5:30 p.m.
Man Hit and Killed by Drunk Driver
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital, where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police soon arrested Danny Correa for DUI causing great bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Officers forced the corner of Bardsley and Spruce to shut down for a time following the incident. The Tulare pedestrian DUI crash is still under investigation.
