Hemet Man, 28, Killed in Collision on Highway 74
MENIFEE, Calif. (Dec. 10, 2024) — Danny Ponce Vargas, 28, of Hemet, died in a motorcycle crash early Monday morning on Highway 74 at Menifee Road in Menifee.
The deadly crash occurred just after 4 a.m. on Dec. 9th, according to the Menifee Police Department and the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner.
The motorcyclist collided separately with a pickup truck and a sedan in a rapid succession collision due to unknown circumstances.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, but were unable to save the young man who was pronounced dead roughly 30 minutes later.
Meanwhile, the two other motorists did not report any injuries and both of them were questioned by patrol officers about the circumstances leading up to the crash.
