Rider Hospitalized After Collision Near Sanders Drive
Placerville, CA (October 29, 2022) – Danny Tucker, a 37-year-old man, suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Pony Express Trail.
Motorcycle vs. Car Crash on Pony Express Trail in Placerville
According to Mountain Democrat News Tucker, of Pollock Pines, was riding a 2007 Yamaha R6 motorcycle traveling west on Pony Express Trail. Our sources indicated the collision happened when an eastbound 2002 Ford Explorer slowed down in preparation to make a left turn onto Sanders Drive. Officials said the rider did not notice the turning vehicle, and ended up colliding with the Ford.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the motorcyclist found lying in the roadway. Authorities confirmed a helicopter airlifted the patient, Danny Tucker, to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on Pony Express Trail in Placerville.
