Man, 45, Killed in Crash in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Calif. (Oct. 19, 2023) – Darnell Kina Hines, 45, of Lancaster, died in a motorcycle accident involving a car in Lancaster at Avenue K and 15th Street East.

The fatal crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18th, according to a report by the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.

The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Avenue K and a woman driving a Mazda sedan was heading eastbound on Avenue K, according to MyNewsLA.

The Mazda driver reportedly made a northbound turn onto 15th Street East. She pulled into the path of the oncoming motorcycle and both vehicles collided. Darnell Hines was ejected from the bike and died at the scene.

Police responded and are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.

It’s unknown if speed or impaired driving were factors in the fatal Lancaster motorcycle accident.
