IRWINDALE, Calif. (November 22, 2022) – Darren Rodgers, 57, died in an Irwindale collision between his motorcycle and a truck on the Interstate 605 at Lower Azusa Road.

The fatal crash occurred about 5:39 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It’s unknown at this time what led up to the motorcycle and truck collision in the southbound lanes of the freeway.

Paramedics responded and performed life-saving measures on the injured man, but sadly he died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the condition of the truck operator.

Police shut down multiple lanes of the highway to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened on Interstate 605 in Irwindale.

Authorities closed down three lanes on the 605 Freeway and the on-ramp to conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash.
