Fatal Pedestrian Accident in San Jacinto- Darrick Peters Dead
San Jacinto- A deadly collision left a man identified as Darrick Peters, 21, of Hemet, with fatal injuries Tuesday morning, per the Riverside County Coroner.
The incident took place at roughly 5:18 a.m. when the driver of a Chevy Suburban headed southbound on San Jacinto Avenue struck Darrick Peters as he was crossing the street at or near the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue.
Darrick Peters was tragically immediately declared deceased upon the arrival of both paramedics and the Riverside County Sheriffs Department.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Suburban, a 58-year-old man of San Jacinto, did indeed remain at the scene and was cooperative with police officials during the interviewing process. He did not seem to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol so he was not arrested.
