Las Vegas Man, Women Killed Separate Crashes on Interstate 15 Freeway
BAKER, Calif. (July 29, 2021) — Darrin Joseph Moore, 37, of Las Vegas, died Thursday night in a collision on the Interstate 15 Freeway near Afton Canyon Road in Baker.
The fatal Baker car accident happened at 2:55 a.m. on July 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol. Moore was a driver in a vehicle that collided due to unknown reasons.
Barstow police officers responded to the Interstate 15 near Afton Canyon Road in Baker. Unfortunately, the Las Vegas man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene about 3:27 a.m., according to police at the CHP-Barstow station. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner identified Darrin Joseph Moore on its website.
The California Highway Patrol – Barstow station is heading up the investigation.
Second Fatal Crash on Interstate 15 Freeway
The fatal crash is one of two in the area on July 29th. Later the same day at 4:10 p.m., a female driver crashed on the I-15 Freeway near Afton Canyon Road in Baker. She died at the scene about 4:30 p.m., police said.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner will release her name after notifying her relatives. Our sincere condolences extend to the family of Darrin Joseph Moore and the unidentified woman who died in these two collisions.
