Davian Lemus, 19, ID’d as Suspect in Ceres DUI Crash at Mitchell and Whitmore
CERES, CA (May 21, 2022) – Authorities detained Davian Lemus after a DUI crash at Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue in Ceres.
Officers determined that the 19-year-old Ceres man was under the influence of marijuana when the wreck took place last Saturday.
The incident began when Davian Lemus was driving a Hyundai Accent south at about 64 mph on Mitchell Road at Nicholas Way in Ceres.
An officer saw him and tried to stop him but he sped southbound and turned off the headlights of his car. After some time, he struck two vehicles at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue.
3 Injured in Wreck
The report described the two cars as a Nissan Pathfinder and a Toyota Camry. A woman in the Nissan complained of abdominal pain as a result of the accident.
Paramedics took her and two other passengers of the Pathfinder to the Doctors Medical Center for further aid. The two occupants of the Toyota refused medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Davian Lemus ended up held in the hospital following the crash. The article did not release the names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers soon arrested Davian Lemus for felony evading a peace officer causing injury, DUI causing injury and reckless driving causing injury.
The Ceres Courier wrote that the collision occurred on May 14. The Ceres DUI crash is still under investigation.
