Motorcycle Rider Killed in Elk Grove Crash
ELK GROVE, Calif. (July 12, 2021) – David Benham, 68, of Elk Grove, died July 8th following a collision the day before at Grant Line Road and Calvine Road in Elk Grove.
The drivers of a black Toyota Tacoma and a motorcycle carrying two people collided for an unknown reason in Elk Grove.
The deadly crash happened at the intersection of Grant Line Road and Calvine Road.
The collision happened about 8:23 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found both people from the motorcycle on the ground. Officials confirmed one suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. It’s unknown at this time what injuries the other suffered.
An ambulance transported David Benham to a hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed he died from his injuries the following day.
Meanwhile, police closed down the intersection to investigate the cause of the crash and liability.
