Pedestrian Injured in Hit-And-Run in Long Beach Dies at Hospital

 David Bermudez Long Beach Pedestrian Accident Artesia Blvd., Atlantic AveLONG BEACH, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2021) – David Bermudez, 72, of Long Beach, died following a pedestrian hit-and-run collision in Long Beach.

The Long Beach man suffered major injuries in a pedestrian accident about 6:20 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Paramedics responded and rushed him by ambulance to a hospital. Sadly, on Friday, Nov. 19th, he died at the hospital, according to the LBPD.

Police officers received a call about a pedestrian walking southbound across Artesia Boulevard, just west of Atlantic Avenue. The person was crossing outside of a crosswalk and a westbound motorist reportedly struck him.

Apparently, as the man lay injured in the roadway, the driver reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.

Also, witnesses reported the suspect’s vehicle was a dark-colored Toyota Camry. There was no description available about the person driving the vehicle.
