David Deporis Killed in Oakland Accident Thursday
Oakland Musician Killed After Thieves Steal Laptop
OAKLAND (August 11, 2017)- According to the Press Democrat, a petty crime led to a man’s death Wednesday just outside of an Oakland cafe.
The victim identified as a popular Oakland musician, David Deporis, had been working on his laptop when an unknown assailant snatched his computer and hopped into a running car.
Deporis quickly got up and grabbed on to the getaway vehicle which dragged him for a short period of time causing grave injuries to the 40-year-old man.
Deporis was rushed to a hospital in serious condition and tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Friends described Mr. Deporis as a fun, loving, and friendly man with excellent musical talent and abilities.
Meanwhile, authorities have yet to have released any information regarding the suspects involved as it appears they have not been located and arrested at this time.
