David Goodman Seriously Injured in West Marin Crash on Tomales Petaluma Road
WEST MARIN, CA (May 27, 2022) – David Goodman was seriously injured after a DUI crash on Tomales Petaluma Road in West Marin.
The California Highway Patrol identified the motorcyclist as the victim of the wreck which took place on Saturday.
The incident happened when David Edward Goodman was riding a BMW motorcycle east on Tomales Petaluma Road in West Marin. At the same time, a Honda SUV was going west.
CHP said the Honda crossed over the double yellow lines and then struck the rider head-on. The two crashed west of Twin Bridge Road.
DUI Driver Hits Motorcyclist
The Marin Independent Journal wrote that the accident occurred on May 21 at about 7:30 p.m. David Goodman sustained major injuries as a result of the crash.
A helicopter took him to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, CHP determined that the male driver of the car was under the influence of alcohol when he hit the motorcyclist.
The man ended up hospitalized with minor wounds. Police soon arrested and booked him into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injury.
The West Marin DUI crash is still under investigation.
