Motorcyclist Killed in Head-on Crash in Palmdale Area
PALMDALE, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2020) – Motorcycle rider, David Lopez, 53, of Sylmar, died in a head-on crash with a pickup truck in the Palmdale area.
David Lopez died at the scene of the 1:15 p.m. crash on Sunday, Nov. 1st.
The motorcyclist and a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck collided on Angeles Forest Highway, just south of Vincent View Road, according to the coroner’s office and the CHP.
Lopez was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson northbound on the highway. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck was traveling southbound when for unknown reasons crossed over into the northbound lane. The two vehicles collided and Lopez suffered fatal injuries.
The CHP stated that the Michael Deangelis, 55, of Littlerock, was driving the truck. Paramedics responded and rushed him to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. There were no arrests made after the fatal collision. .
Police do not suspect drugs and or alcohol were factors. The cause of the crash and liability are under investigation.
