Fontana Man, 59, Killed in Hit-and-run Crash
FONTANA, Calif. (September 28, 2022) — David Mick, 59, of Fontana, died Saturday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Cherry Avenue in Fontana.
The collision occurred about 5:09 a.m. on Sept. 24th, between Valley Boulevard and San Bernardino Avenue, according to the Fontana Police Department.
Fontana police responded to a traffic accident in the 9800 block of Cherry Avenue, police said.
They located the victim later identified as David Mick and confirmed his death at 5:14 a.m., according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The motorist reportedly fled the scene without stopping to help the victim. Finally, the Fontana Police Department’s Traffic Unit is heading up the investigation, but have not released a description of the suspect or vehicle.
Also, witnesses may contact the Fontana Police Department.
