David Ngy Killed in Crash at Air Expressway, Village Drive in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (August 17, 2026) — David Ngy, a 47-year-old Helendale man, died Saturday in a two-vehicle crash at Air Expressway and Village Drive in Victorville.
The deadly collision occurred around 5:07 p.m. on August 15, 2026, according to the Victorville Police Department.
Victorville police and firefighters responded to the crash scene where the driver of an eastbound gray Jeep Cherokee traveling on Air Expressway collided with the driver of a westbound red Mitsubishi Eclipse near Village Drive.
Authorities say the Mitsubishi turned southbound towards Village Drive, and that’s when it was broadsided on its passenger side by the Jeep
Sadly, David Ngy was a passenger in the Mitsubishi and died at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported one of the drivers by ambulance to Victor Valley Global Medical Center, then the person was airlifted to a trauma center.
One patient requiring air transport was taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and later airlifted via a Mercy Air helicopter to a trauma center. A second passenger from the Mitsubishi and the driver of the Jeep were also taken to hospitals by ambulances.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Major Accident Investigation Team.
