RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (January 19, 2024) – David Ristow, 64, died Tuesday afternoon in a pedestrian accident on Perris Boulevard, just south of Bay Avenue in Moreno Valley.
The deadly crash occurred at around 5:04 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner and The Sierra Sun Times.
A driver in an Isuzu Trooper was traveling southbound on Perris Boulevard when the motorist struck the man who was crossing the street.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials responded to help the injured man and called for paramedics, according to the coroner report.
Cal Fire Riverside sent paramedics to the scene and attempted they provided life-saving measures on the victim, but sadly he died on scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Isuzu cooperated with the police investigation. Authorities do not suspect drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
Investigators requested the closure of Perris Boulevard between Cottonwood Avenue and Alessandro Boulevard to work on the case.
