David Sanchez Fatal Fremont Pedestrian Hit-and-run Crash
FREMONT, Calif. (April 20, 2021) — David Sanchez, 49, died Monday night in a fatal Fremont pedestrian accident on Lowry Road.
The driver reportedly struck the man who was lying on Lowry Road near Falcon Drive about 8:30 p.m. on April 19th, according to East Bay Times.
A witness told authorities they saw the victim lying in the roadway when the small compact car ran over him. The witness came to help the 49-year-old man before emergency medical and fire personnel arrived at the scene, but despite those efforts David Sanchez died in the roadway.
Driver Flees Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Lowry Road
The collision happened in a neighborhood west of Interstate 880. According to police,
Meanwhile, the driver did not stop after the fatal collision.
Police closed down Lowry Road for hours to investigate.
It’s unknown why the man was lying in the roadway prior to the accident.
