David Seager, 55, Killed in Riverside Pedestrian Crash Near Day and Campus
RIVERSIDE, CA (September 1, 2022) – Pedestrian David Seager was killed after a crash near Day Street and Campus Parkway in Riverside.
The coroner’s office identified the 55-year-old Riverside man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when David Seager was walking eastbound on Day Street near Campus Parkway in Riverside. At the same time, a 2020 Honda Accord was going south.
Police said the car approached and for an unknown reason struck him in the southbound lanes. My News LA wrote that the crash occurred on August 31 shortly before 8 p.m.
Man Hit by Car
David Seager sustained severe injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found him down on the ground.
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to the Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where soon died.
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old Moreno Valley woman driving the Honda stopped after hitting the man. She stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Officers forced the area of Day Street and Campus Parkway to shut down for a time following the collision. The cause of the Riverside pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
