BRENTWOOD, California (May 4, 2016) —Per the San Francisco Gate, a 4-car collision resulted in the death of a man identified as David Sherman, 52, of Discovery Bay, and injuries to several others on Highway 4 Wednesday afternoon.
The crash took place about 3:15 p.m. when the driver of a Dodge pickup truck crashed into the rear of a Ford Fusion which then struck a Ford Explorer and another Ford vehicle.
The article disclosed that the driver of the Ford Fusion, David Sherman, was found unconscious inside his vehicle and tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Motorists in both Ford vehicles were badly injured and were airlifted to Sutter Delta Medical Center with major injuries.
The driver of the Dodge was uninjured.
Authorities have ruled out the possibility of alcohol or drugs being involved in this incident.
