1 Vehicle Facing Wrong Way After Smash
DAVIS, CALIFORNIA (April 3, 2016) – At least one person was injured following a 2-car collision on East 80 Freeway Sunday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 5:07 p.m. near Mace Boulevard.
Preliminary record stated that 2 vehicles were traveling on their respective lane ways when they suddenly slammed against each other and spun out.
The involved automobiles were a white sedan and a tan Jeep Wrangler. A four-door Chevy Cruze and a silver Hyundai were also mentioned on the report but the officers have not yet finalized this matter.
The force from the impact was significant, resulting in at least one person suffering in minor injuries, as noted in the incident description by the CHP dispatch team.
The CHP log recounted the crash site with both cars having struck the center divider, and a certain car facing the wrong way after the wreck.
Investigators continue to gather more evidences before pronouncing closure and citations on the case.
