Davis: Box Truck, Tractor Crash on Old River Road

Major Injury Collision Near Interstate 5

Davis, CA (February 20, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Old River Road Monday, February 13.

The Davis Enterprise News reported a collision between a box truck and a tractor took place near the 2000 block of Old River. Due to the force from the impact, one of the vehicles veered down an embankment in the area between Interstate 5 and West Sacramento.

Shortly after 4:05 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person sustained major trauma as a result of the crash. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Detectives assigned to handle the case state stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the traffic accident happened on Old River Road in Davis.
