5 Injured in Crash on Interstate 80 Near Old Davis Road
DAVIS, CA (September 2, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash on the Interstate 80 near Old Davis Road.
According to an article published by the FOX 40 News, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5 p.m. in Davis.
The California Highway Patrol said a minivan and a Chevrolet Impala collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on the Interstate 80 near Old Davis Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total of five people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Chevrolet sustained life-threatening injuries upon impact. The four occupants of the minivan suffered moderate to major injuries.
Medical personnel took the motorist in the Impala to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of the Interstate 80 to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the Davis crash is still under investigation.
