Davis: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 80

Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Olive Drive Offramp

Davis, CA (April 9, 2023) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 80 Freeway Sunday, April 9.

The California Highway Patrol group reported a vehicle struck an individual in the westbound side of I-80, also known as Dwight Eisenhower Highway. Our sources indicated the horrible crash took place near the Olive Drive offramp.

CHP logged the case at about 12:33 a.m.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 80 in Davis

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found a person lying in the roadway and a shoe thrown onto the traffic lanes. Responding paramedics performed life-saving efforts to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.

Officials mentioned the car involved in the deadly collision was possibly a blue Subaru car. At this time, detectives continue to gather information to determine the precise cause of the deadly traffic accident that happened on Interstate 80 in Davis.
