DAVIS: Motorcycle Accident Interstate 80 Freeway, Mace Boulevard
DAVIS, Calif., (June 18, 2026) — A major injury motorcycle accident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Davis on Interstate 80 East, just east of Mace Boulevard.
The incident was reported on June 17th at approximately 3:51 PM, near the 144-mile marker eastbound on I-80, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Initial reports indicated that the collision involved a fully dressed motorcycle and another vehicle, leading to significant injuries.
Emergency response teams, including the CHP and local fire department, quickly arrived at the scene. A flatbed truck from NorCal Towing was dispatched to remove the motorcycle from the roadway, suggesting the severity of the damage.
As of 4:43 PM, the incident was officially classified as a major injury collision. The identities of those involved have not yet been released, pending notification of family members. However, authorities have confirmed that paramedics were on site to administer emergency medical care.
