Motorcyclist Injured in Davis Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 80 Near Mace
DAVIS, CA (September 7, 2021) – A motorcyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the Interstate 80 in Davis.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck on September 4 at about 6:24 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider collided with two other vehicles for an unknown reason in Davis. They crashed on the eastbound Interstate 80, just east of Mace Boulevard.
Motorcycle and 2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the two cars as a black Toyota Camry and a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the motorcyclist down in the No. 2 lane of the freeway. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient at the site. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the one of the drivers involved did not stop and fled the area. Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 80 near Mace to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Davis hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
