At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision on Dwight Eisenhower Highway Sunday
Davis, CA (September 5, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a truck occurred early Sunday on Interstate 80, also known as Dwight Eisenhower Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the big rig crashed while heading west on Highway 80. Primary reports indicated the truck ended up slamming into the center divider near the Richards Boulevard offramp.
Major Injury Car and Truck Accident in Davis, September 5
Investigators later determined the big rig collided with a white Honda Accord. The force from the impact resulted in major front-end damage to the smaller vehicle.
Shortly after 3 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision.
The CHP log confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the incident. No immediate information was available on the victims.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the truck accident in Davis happened.
