Motorcycle, Pedestrian and Vehicle Involved
TEMECULA, California (May 26, 2016) – A deadly collision occurred in the area of Winchester and Roripaugh roads on Thursday afternoon, according to The Press Enterprise. (map)
The crash was reported just after 1 p.m., near the southeast corner of Chaparral High School.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said a motorcyclist hit a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and then collided with a nearby vehicle.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene. He was described as a male believed to be in his mid-20s.
The pedestrian and the driver of the car involved were injured and were transported to the hospital for evaluation. The extent of their injuries and their condition were not disclosed.
As per The Press Enterprise, witnesses testified that the motorcyclist was seen traveling at a high rate of speed and passing other cars prior to the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
