Deadly Crash in Apple Valley at Wichita Road and Zuni Road

Woman, 33, Killed; 3 Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (June 29, 2026) — A 33-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night at Wichita Road and Zuni Road in Apple Valley.

Three others were injured in the collision reported at 8:21 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, according to Victor Valley News Group.

The Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station sent deputies and requested a response from the Apple Valley Fire Department due to the severity of the collision.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigative Team (M.A.I.T.) is investigating the crash. Preliminary results determined a 25-year-old Apple Valley man was driving a 2022 Toyota Camry north on Wichita Road and allegedly drove through a stop sign at Zuni Road. The man’s Camry broadsided a westbound 2021 Nissan Altima traveling along Zuni Road.

The driver in the Camry driver became trapped inside his vehicle and it caught fire, but he was rescued by arriving firefighters and taken to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old woman driving the Nissan Altima suffered severe injuries and died at the scene. Also, the woman’s two passengers were badly injured and taken by ambulances to a trauma center.
