Deadly Crash in Bakersfield at 7th Standard Road and Poplar Avenue

One Killed in 3-Vehicle Collision, CHP Says

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (June 3, 2026) — A deadly crash happened Tuesday on 7th Standard Road at Poplar Avenue in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision, which happened on June 2nd just before 4:10 p.m., involved three or more vehicles, the report said.

The vehicles included a gray Toyota Corolla, a blue sedan, and a white sedan, the report said.

Paramedics responded and transported one person to Kern Medical Center, but the person later died from their injuries at the hospital.

Detectives are working to determine fault for the crash.
