Fatal Collision on I-680 Freeway in Fremont
FREMONT, Calif. (August 20, 2024) — A fatal Fremont crash happened Tuesday on the Interstate 680 Freeway, just north of Vargas Road.
The collision occurred on the northbound I-680 at around 6:32 a.m. on August 20th, 2024.
A car overturned and a tire possibly hit other vehicles in the numbers one and two lanes of the freeway.
A man was apparently trapped in the vehicle and died on scene, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert due to the crash and requested the coroner responded.
It’s unknown how many others were hurt in the collision at this time.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Fremont crash on the 680 Freeway.
