Pedestrian Struck on I-5 Freeway at San Fernando Mission Blvd.
MISSION HILLS, Calif. (July 9, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident in the Mission Hills area happened early Tuesday on the Golden State (5) Freeway.
The deadly collision occurred at 1:23 a.m. on July 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report a driver struck the pedestrian in the northbound lanes of the freeway near the San Fernando Mission Boulevard off-ramp.
The person’s body was found in the middle lanes of the freeway and the identity, age and gender will be released after relatives are notified, police said.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident in Mission Hills.
