Deadly Pedestrian Accident on 8 Freeway in El Cajon

Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near W Main Street

El Cajon, CA (March 14, 2023) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 8 Freeway Monday, March 13.

According to FOX5 News, a male party was walking along the freeway in El Cajon. In the area near W Main Street, a passing vehicle struck the pedestrian. Earlier reports indicated the driver was attempted to change lanes on the westbound side of the freeway when they hit the victim.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. The article published online mentioned the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

Our sources mentioned the driver sustained minor injuries in the crash. An ambulance transported the injured driver to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.
