Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Taylor Street Offramp
San Jose, CA (May 13, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly pedestrian accident that occurred on State Route Highway 87 Wednesday, May 10.
Officials said a vehicle struck a person in the northbound side of SR-87 near Taylor Street offramp in San Jose. Preliminary investigate revealed a driver stepped out of the tow truck parked on the right-hand shoulder of the highway. While standing along the traffic lanes, a passing car struck the driver.
CHP logged the case around 7:33 p.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in San Jose
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the tow truck driver suffering in injuries including a broken leg. Responding paramedics rendered medical aid to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Detectives handing the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Highway 87 in San Jose.
