Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Tulip Street in Fairmount Park

Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle at Tulip Street and Trailing Drive

Fairmount Park, CA (February 27, 2023) – A pedestrian died following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred in the area of Tulip Street and Trailing Drive.

The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported officials received reports about a person lying in the middle of the intersection in Fairmount Park on February 26, Sunday.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Fairmount Park

Local police officers responded to the location at about 10 p.m. and found a man unconscious in the roadway. Medical personnel rendered first aid to the victim, then rushed him to a hospital. The victim later sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

The article published online mentioned the fatal victim had physical injuries consistent to being hit by a car. Investigators believed the driver that struck the pedestrian fled after the accident.

At this time, detectives continue to work to identify and located the hit-and-run suspect in the fatal collision that happened at Tulip Street and Trailing Drive.
