Deadly Rollover Crash Highway 18, Joshua Road in Lucerne Valley

One Killed, Two Injured in Crash on Highway 18

LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (Feb. 20, 2025) – A fatal rollover crash happened Tuesday night on Highway 18 close to Joshua Road in Lucerne Valley.

One person died and two others were hospitalized in critical condition, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It happened just after 10:30 PM on Feb. 18th, the CHP said.

A 911 caller alerted the highway patrol to the overturned vehicle in a remote area of the desert.

Police responded and located the vehicle roughly 30 feet off the roadway. It was found in the upright position with three occupants suffering major injuries.

One person was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, but that person later died at the hospital.

Two others had major injuries and were also taken to the hospital.
