STANTON, California (October 17, 2016) — Deborah Gresham, 44, of Stanton was killed Friday night when her bicycle was struck by a driver on Cerritos Avenue, just east of Knott Avenue, according to the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal crash took place about 7:35 p.m. and Gresham died of her injuries at the scene. The man driving the vehicle was arrested by police on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.
Gresham was identified as the creator of a popular online fan page for the zombie TV show “Walking Dead,” according to the Orange County Register. The Facebook fan page is called “Zombie Killers two.”
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is heading up the investigation into the crash to determine liability.

There were 165 people killed and 13,837 injured in 2013 traffic accidents in Orange County, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide integrated Traffic Report. Some 52 of the deaths were pedestrians and 9 were bicyclists in Orange County. In the city of Stanton, there was one fatal bicycle accident in 2013 and 15 bicyclists injured, the CHP statistics report said.
