Deborah Raynaud, 67, Killed in Sebastopol Pedestrian Crash on Highway 116
SEBASTOPOL, CA (November 9, 2021) – Deborah Raynaud was killed after a pedestrian crash on Highway 116 in Sebastopol.
The sheriff’s office identified the 67-year-old Sebastopol woman as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred last week on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Deborah Raynaud was crossing Highway 116 near the intersection of Old Gravenstein Highway in Sebastopol. At the same time, a Volvo was going west.
Woman Hit by Car
The California Highway Patrol said the victim walked into the path of the car which tried to swerve around her. In the process, the Volvo struck the woman.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found her lying on the ground. Deborah Raynaud died as a result of the pedestrian crash.
The Press Democrat wrote that the accident took place on November 3 at around 2:45 p.m. Meanwhile, CHP added that the car ended up with a damaged windshield following the incident.
The cause of the Sebastopol pedestrian collision is still investigation.
