1 Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Crash on Dehesa Road Near Sycuan Casino Resort
DEHESA, CA (January 9, 2022) – A head-on crash killed one person and injured two others on Dehesa Road in the Dehesa area.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the tragic accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a Chrysler minivan and a Honda Civic collided head-on for an unknown reason on Dehesa Road.
The two crashed near Harbison Canyon Road, about two miles away from the Sycuan Casino Resort.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced a passenger in the minivan dead at the scene. Two other people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
The motorist in the Honda sustained major injuries while the driver of the minivan survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel rushed them to the Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Dehesa Road to shut down for a time following the crash.
The cause of the fatal wreck is still under investigation.
