KERN COUNTY, Calif. (March 8, 2023) — Dekarriay Burrell, 25, of California City, died in a collision with a semi-truck on Highway 58 at California City Boulevard in Kern County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred in the westbound lanes of SR-58 about 1:53 p.m. on March 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.

A driver in a semi-truck reportedly T-boned a white Scion and Dekarriay Burrell was ejected from the vehicle into the roadway.
Meanwhile, California City Fire Department was on the scene and possibly treated others hurt in the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.
Dekarriay Rayvion Burrell was identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office, according to Bakersfield Now.
