9 Minors Hospitalized After Collision on Interstate 8
Del Cerro, CA (October 3, 2022) – Several juveniles suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on the Interstate 8 Freeway, the Times of San Diego reported.
3-Vehicle Accident Near Lake Murray Boulevard in Del Cerro
Our sources indicated two motorists appeared to be racing while heading west on I-8. When the two drivers approached the area near Lake Murray Boulevard, they ended up crashing into each other. The collision caused one car to hit a third vehicle–a white van. Due to the force from the impact, the white van rolled over several times.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found multiple victims ejected onto the roadway. Medical personnel attended to all parties involved, and later confirmed as many as nine people sustained various injuries as a result of the accident. According to the article published online, emergency crews transported all nine patients to Rady Children’s Hospital.
Several factors surrounding the collision remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the crash on Interstate 8 in Del Cerro.
