Major Injury Collision on San Diego Freeway Friday
Del Mar, CA (January 29, 2022) – A traffic accident involving a motorcycle rider occurred Friday afternoon on Interstate 5, also known as San Diego Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported the motorcyclist crashed for an unknown reason in the southbound side of I-5 near Via de la Valle.
Motorcycle Rider Hospitalized After Accident on Interstate 5 in Del Mar, January 28
Shortly after 5:29 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the rider with serious injuries. Medical personnel immediately rendered aid to the patient. Due to the condition of the victim, paramedics decided to transfer them to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The CHP dispatch mentioned two cars pulled over at the accident scene. At this time, detectives continue to determine whether the two drivers played a role in the collision.
Further investigation is ongoing on the traffic crash on Interstate 5 in Del Mar.
