1 Killed in Traffic Collision on SR-99 Sunday
Delano, CA (May 9, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal car crash that occurred on State Route 99 early Sunday morning.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., CHP logged an accident involved a small white sedan and a semi truck. For reasons still unclear, the sedan crashed into a parked big rig along the northbound side of Highway 99.
The force from the impact left the car pinned underneath the truck. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victims trapped in the wreckage.

Preliminary investigation revealed at least one person sadly died in the collision. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the deadly car crash in Delano happened.
