Highway 99 Fatal Hit-and-run Crash in Delano
DELANO, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2018) — A hit-and-run collision left a 52-year-old pedestrian dead on Highway 99, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place at noon on Friday. The man was found on the median of northbound 99 Freeway, just north of Avenue 24.
Police are investigating the crash and they do not know how long the man had been lying at the crash scene before he was found.

PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault. The investigation will consist of looking at measurements, going over evidence left by the vehicle such as point of impact, final resting positions of the vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
