DELANO (December 9, 2016)- According to the Delano Life, Paul Donley, 81, a former Marine who was deployed during Vietnam, was seriously injured following an auto versus pedestrian collision Monday evening.
Donley had been crossing Lexington Street in route to his condo located nearby before being struck by an unknown vehicle.
Donley incurred severe injuries which included roughly 20 broken bones and a potential brain injury. He remained hospitalized Thursday evening and has not been able to communicate since the accident.
Various factors pertaining to the collision were not released within the report including the type of vehicle involved, whether the driver remained at the scene, and whether or not Donley was in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
