Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Delhi Crash at Schendel and Mimosa Avenues
DELHI, CA (August 23, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Schendel Avenue and Mimosa Avenue in Delhi.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the incident shortly before 7 a.m.
CHP believed that a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in Delhi. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Schendel Avenue and Mimosa Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Delhi Middle School. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this moment.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Schendel and Mimosa avenues to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the Delhi pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
