Fatal Collision Near Temescal Canyon Road Onramp
Corona, CA (July 2, 2022) – Demetrius Powell, a 31-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred on Corona (15) Freeway early Friday.
According to My News LA, a big rig and another vehicle collided in the southbound side of the freeway near the Temescal Canyon Road onramp.
The crash reportedly caused the semi trailer to catch fire. Shortly after 2:40 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location and found the truck fully engulfed in flames. Meanwhile, the damage sustained by the other car involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Deadly Car Accident on Corona (15) Freeway
Medical personnel rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person sadly died in the accident. The Riverside County coroner’s office publicly identified the deceased as Demetrius Powell. At this time, it remained unclear what vehicle the victim was riding in when the violent crash happened.
Detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the unfortunate event on Corona (15) Freeway.
